Punta del Este, Uruguay

We went on a city tour that included 2 art museums.

This little town has 13,000 residents that explodes during the summer to 250,000. When you look at the horizon you think you are looking at some office buildings, but they are all high rise condos. There are hundreds of large yachts in the harbor. Definitely a destination not to miss.

The first museum was The Ralli
It had some nice paintings and lots of modern art. Some Picasso and other famous artists, but I preferred these..
Here you are Nat!

The other museum was the Carlos Paez Vilaro home. This is where he lived and worked.  He was good friends with Picasso.

.

The view from the back of his house.  There is now a Hotel next door

A new subdivision opened and the designer decided that the bridge to the entrance should be a roller coaster.  It is a fun ride, especially in a huge tour bus. HIT THE GAS!!!

The port added two open yachts to our  tendering.  It was so much fun riding back to the ship with the seas air in our face rather than in those enclosed life-boats(saunas).
