Banjul, The Gambia
Please look up The Gambia on a map. It is a tiny country along The Gambia river, surrounded by Senegal. It will surprise you. It has been under Portuguese, French and English rule until 1994 when it finally became a republic. The capital, Banjul is on an island in the mouth of the river.
We had a musical greeting getting off the ship.The Albert Market. We went here in 2023. The sellers were so pushy and in your face touching your hand saying they were your best friend, you could not get past them. They were not so touchy tis time, but they were still pretty high pressure. We did not spend much time there.
